House Rules – The 10 Golden Rules of Blue Doors Hostels

Dear Guests, our house rules are designed to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable stay for everyone. Please be considerate and mindful of other guests to create a pleasant and harmonious environment for all.

Check-in is available from 3 PM to 6 PM on weekdays and until 8 PM on weekends. If you plan to arrive outside these times, please call us by 5 PM on your arrival day to notify us. You will receive electronic key cards. A fee of €25 will be charged for lost cards.

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the building. A fine of €150 will be imposed for violations. If the fire alarm is triggered due to smoking or improper use of fire, the full cost of the fire department's response must be covered by the responsible party. Please use the courtyard for smoking, where you can often find company for a cigarette.

Quiet hours are in effect from 10 PM to 7 AM throughout the hostel and in the courtyard. If you’re not ready to sleep at 10 PM, explore some of the nearby bars instead.

For safety and hygiene reasons, eating and cooking are not allowed in the rooms. Please use our guest kitchen, which is available 24/7. Bringing alcohol for personal consumption in moderate quantities is permitted.

Possession of drugs or weapons of any kind is strictly forbidden and will be reported to the authorities. The use of drugs on hostel premises is also prohibited.

We offer a safe at reception for your valuables, accessible during reception hours. Please handle hostel property responsibly and refrain from taking anything that doesn’t belong to you. The outdoor areas, reception, and common rooms are under video surveillance, and theft will be reported immediately.

Please turn off lights and lower the heating when leaving your room. Be mindful of your water and paper towel usage – your ecological footprint will thank you.

Visitors are welcome in the reception area, courtyard, or guest kitchen/lounge until 10 PM. Overnight stays by non-guests are not allowed.

Dogs are only allowed with prior approval. However, they are not permitted in dormitory rooms. Please keep your dog on a leash at all times while on hostel premises.

Check-out is by 11 AM. Please leave your room in a clean condition and place used bed linens in the designated bins on the ground floor. A cleaning fee may be charged for excessively dirty rooms.

All staff members are authorized to enforce house rules on behalf of the management. Violations may result in fines or immediate eviction, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
