Gehlsdorfer-Ufer

Take a stroll along Gehlsdorfer-Ufer and marvel at the impressive Rostock skyline. You can reach the other side in Gehlsdorf by taking the ferry from the "Am Kabutzenhof" stop or by walking over the Petridamm.

Kanonsberg

Once part of Rostock's coastal defenses, Kanonsberg offers a panoramic view of the Warnow River and the entire city harbor. Pssst! In winter, it’s a perfect spot for sledding.

City Harbor

The place to be: City Harbor! On warm summer evenings, many Rostock locals gather to watch the sunset here. You can do the same at several spots, such as the quay edge of the Hedged Peninsula, on the stairs while playing Kubb, with a cool drink at Rost Dock, or in the many delicious restaurants.

Am Brink/ Barnstorferweg

Looking for cool cafés, bars, ice cream shops, and restaurants? You’ll find them at Brink in the KTV district. You can also shop for souvenirs and clothes in the small, lovingly curated shops at “Barni.”

Wallanlagen

An oasis in the middle of the city. Pure relaxation for both the soul and the eyes. Expect plenty of greenery, ponds, statues, and fountains. Afterwards, stop by the adjacent Rose Garden. From June to autumn, the Rose Garden truly lives up to its name with its magnificent blooms. You might even pick up some relaxation tips from the locals here.

St. Peter’s Church

When was the last time you reached new heights? Not sure? Then head to the northeast of Rostock's old town to St. Peter’s Church. With a tower height of 117 meters, it’s Rostock's tallest church. For just €3, you can take an elevator to the top of the tower. From there, enjoy a 360-degree view over Rostock and, on clear days, all the way to the Baltic Sea.

Warnemünde

Hop on the S-Bahn and ride to the final stop! Stroll along the "Alter Strom" with its iconic fishing boats or through the historic maritime alleys with captain’s houses to reach the fine sandy beach in Warnemünde. But watch out for the seagulls if you’re enjoying an ice cream or fish sandwich!
